GCSE Source Paper - Question 2 @ IvoHistory

This question will ask you whether one source is supported by two others – you usually are asked to use sources A, B and C – e.g. does C support A and B

Start by writing about whichever source is mentioned first  - in this example C.

1. Write about C – what is it suggesting?

2. Briefly explain what A is suggesting

3. Now compare source C with A – what do they suggest is the same? Are there any differences in what they are suggesting? Use the wording “C supports A” or “ C does not support A..”

4. Briefly explain what source B is suggesting

5.  Now compare source C with B – what do they suggest is the same? What is different?

6. Explain in general how the sources agree or disagree with each other. Remember that they still give a insight into (whatever the subject matter is)

YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMMENT ON THE RELIABILITY OF THE SOURCES – THIS JUST WASTES TIME AND GAINS NO EXTRA MARKS
